Texas Guest Cottage Bed & Breakfast  -  IS NOW CLOSED

Thanks to all that have stayed with over the past 12+ years.  We have enjoyed sharing our life and the alpacas with you all.  Our ranch is now for sale and we are in the process of moving to the mountains or western North Carolina.  Yes!  Mountain Dream is moving to the mountains!  

Come and unwind; leave the city behind.  Relax in the country and enjoy your stay at the Texas Guest Cottage, overlooking our pond and the pastures of a working alpaca ranch.  

The Texas Guest Cottage is private but attached to the garage of Larry's mom's ranch house.  The 870 sq. ft. cozy cottage has a den with fireplace and satellite TV, full kitchen, dining area, bedroom with queen size bed and a full bathroom.  The sleeper sofa, in the den, will accommodate two additional people.  The cottage features a washer and dryer, if you need to do any laundry during your stay.

If you've read Our Story, you know that this is first step of the realization of our dream to have rental cabins in the country.  This is a place where you can come relax and renew.

Maybe you're burned out and just need a break.  You'd like to sit on the porch and read or maybe take an afternoon nap.  No problem, you can do that.  Or maybe you'd like to try your hand at fishing in our pond.  You can do that too.  If fishing's not your thing, you can sit in the swings on the deck and watch our Australian black swans cruise by.  They'll acknowledge your presence with a gentle honking.  Or you can watch for the egrets or herons that sometimes come to try their luck fishing.  Perhaps you're a bit more active and want a home base from which to explore Navasota, College Station, Brenham, Chappell Hill, Washington on the Brazos and the surrounding countryside.  Lots of places are within an easy 45 minute to 1 hour drive.

Would you like a massage?  Candace is a Licensed Massage Therapist and can give you a full body massage right in the cottage.  Just $75.00 for a one hour Swedish relaxation massage.

Are you interested in alpacas?  There's no better place to learn about these fascinating animals than on a working alpaca ranch.  When you stay here, you are welcome to come work with us, help us feed, or simply watch the herd graze and frolic in the pastures.  Enjoy and interact with the alpacas.  Do as much or as little as you want.

RATES - Effective May 1, 2014 - 2 Night Minimum Stay:
            $168.00 (plus applicable state and local taxes) per night - single or double.  
            $  30.00 (plus applicable state and local taxes) for each additional person.  
This includes a continental breakfast (fruit, pastries, yogurt, orange juice, milk, coffee, herbal teas).   

For those of you that want to bring your own food for breakfast, we will reduce the rental to $138.00 per night - single or double and $26.00 for each additional person (plus applicable state and local taxes).  The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 
            Please notify us as soon as possible.  We make every effort to work with you on cancellations.  If your notice is less than 2 weeks and we cannot rebook, we reserve the right to charge you for one night.  If you are a no-show, you will be charged for all nights of your reservation.

PLEASE NOTE: The Texas Guest Cottage is a NON SMOKING facility!
                        Pets are not allowed in the cottage or on the premises.
                        No telephone is available in the cottage.  Please bring your cell phone.
